Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir to coat the apples.
Cover and cook on low heat for about 30-45 min or until apples are soft and tender.
Remove from heat and mash with immersion blender, fork, or potato masher. Serve immediately or let cool completely and then refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
If you prefer naturally sweetened applesauce, you can omit the sugar entirely.
Applesauce will keep refrigerated for up to ten days.
