Is it starting to feel like fall where you live?

I know it’s not officially fall yet, but after Labor Day hits, I get that fall feeling, if you know what I mean. The days are getting shorter, apples and pumpkins are starting to make their debut everywhere, and my fall decor is in full swing.

Even though the temps still scream summer, I’m in full-on fall mode right now. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not wishing away the summer temps by any means (if you’ve been hanging around here long enough, then you know that I hate the cold temps), but this time of year is my favorite for so many reasons.

And apples are one of those reasons, friends!

Yes, apples are available year round, and maybe you don’t even consider apples a fall fruit. But it always reminds me of going to an apple orchard and picking those fresh honey crisp, gala and fuji apples. The crisp air, paired with some apple cider and a sweet apple treat just says fall to me.

I’m no stranger to apple recipes, and I look forward to creating some new ones every year. In fact, I’ve been testing apple recipes since the beginning of the summer. And I’ve got some delicious ones headed your way, friends!

So to kick off apple season, I’m bringing you one of my new favorites that takes just a few ingredients to make.

If you love apple pie, then this Easy Caramel Apple Pie Dip was made for you.

The sweet apples and rich caramel sauce make this dip extra special and extra delicious. And that graham cracker crust? So easy to make and not your basic pie crust, which makes it that much better.

The graham cracker ‘crust’ is just crushed graham crackers mixed with a touch of cinnamon and butter. Since it’s not baked, you just sprinkle it into your pie dish and that’s it. It gives this dip a hint of flavor and makes it easy to dig right in without a fork or knife.

Have I mentioned how much I love apples? Because I do…especially when it’s in the form of a dip that tastes just like apple pie. It’s so simple to make that you might not even go back to making the classic pie ever again. Yes, it’s that good!

I served this dip with graham crackers, but pretzels, vanilla wafers, or pita chips would work just as well. And I won’t tell if you dig in with just a spoon!

This dip also tastes amazing when spooned on top of ice cream or vanilla yogurt. The possibilities are endless, friends!

Some tips to remember:

  • I used store-bought graham cracker crumbs to make this recipe extra easy. You could crush your own graham crackers if you would like, but using the store-bought crumbs saves time.
  • Remember to choose a sweeter apple for the dip. Some kinds, such as Red Delicious, would not work as well because the apples will be more bland in flavor.
  • It’s best to serve this dip right away, as the apple mixture will be warm and bubbly. However, you could keep this at room temperature or refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Feel free to adjust the spices to your liking. If you like extra cinnamon, you can double the amount and that make this extra delicious!

So, if you’re looking for that easy fall dip for those fall get-togethers or parties, this Easy Caramel Apple Pie Dip is it. Packed with flavor, easy to make and even better to eat, you’ll be serving this treat all season long!

Crust

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, I used the store-bought, already crushed graham crackers
  • 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Apple Pie Filling

  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored and diced (I used Granny Smith apples, but any sweeter kind will work)

  • 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce
