The hubster is a huge sports fan. I’m talking gigantic, friends. Like, he loves every sport and watches most of them on TV. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again…he is a walking sports trivia machine!

The hubster never ceases to amaze me with his vast sports knowledge. In fact, I always tease him that he missed his calling in life to go into sports broadcasting, or something along those lines.

And now that it’s February and college basketball is in full swing, the hubster is in basketball heaven. With the March games just a few short weeks away, he’s getting excited, and I am, too! I do like watching college basketball when tournaments are on, especially when good food is involved.

After all, it is all about the food, right? And drinks, because we can’t forget about the drinks.

Of course! You’re welcome to make the taco bites using ground turkey, if desired.

Can This Recipe Be Made in Advance?

I recommend preparing this recipe fairly close to when you plan on serving it. The taco cups are best hot and fresh from the oven!

Tips for Making Mini Taco Cups

  • Make sure to use lean ground beef and to drain any excess grease from the skillet. You don’t want the wonton wrappers to soak up tons of extra fat.ย
  • Feel free to use any salsa you’d like in this recipe. Salsa verde, restaurant-style salsa, you name it!ย
  • I like to top my wonton taco cups with black olives, cilantro, and a dash of sour cream. But, feel free to use your favorites. The possibilities are endless!
