Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte
Packed with hints of brown sugar, smooth vanilla and a bold flavor, this Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte is easy to make and perfect for coffee lovers. This latte is a fraction of the calories found in your local coffee shop and so delicious, too!
I’ve been on a workout kick lately.
As in, I’ve been going to the gym about four times a week, on a consistent basis, for over two months now. And it feels so good! I’m embarrassed to admit how long it’s been since I’ve been to the gym, before the start of the New Year. I’d have every intention of going, but then life would get in the way, and I’d find an excuse to not go.
But now that I’m in my routine, I actually looked forward to my workouts. I’m also going to start a pure barre class soon, in addition to my gym workouts. Have you tried that? Or heard of it? It’s a 55 minute class that works you out from head to toe, using a ballet bar. And man, is it tough (or so I’ve heard)! But it’s also such a great way to get into shape.
My brother is getting married in April. And since his wedding is in Arizona, and I’m standing up, that’s my motivation to really stick with my workouts. It also helps that the hubster loves to work out too, so we often go together on the weekends.
During the week, I usually carve out time during the late morning to head to the gym. It keeps me energized and helps me stay more productive in between testing recipes, editing photos, and other blog work that I do on a daily basis.
Before I head out the door to start my workout, I like to relax with a steaming cup of tea or coffee. It settles into my work routine of blog-related tasks.
And whenever I reach for some coffee, I like to have a tasty creamer on-hand. And that’s why International Delight Simply Pure has become a staple in my household. It’s made with real cream, milk and sugar. It comes in three delicious flavors: vanilla, hazelnut and caramel, and is made with just five ingredients.
So when I was shopping at Walmart last week, I decided to stock up on International Delight Simply Pure in Vanilla and Hazelnut. These flavors would make a delicious addition to my morning cup of coffee.
But instead of brewing a regular cup of coffee, I decided to use the International Delight Simply Pure in Vanilla as part of a homemade latte. Which is where this Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte comes in.
Packed with hints of brown sugar, smooth vanilla and a bold flavor, this Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte is easy to make and perfect for coffee lovers. This latte is a fraction of the calories found in your local coffee shop and so delicious, too!
If you love creating your own coffee drinks, then this latte was made for you. By using International Delight Simply Pure in Vanilla, a touch of brown sugar, milk, and coffee, this latte is a breeze to whip up and full of flavor.
If you’ve been hanging around here long enough, then you know I’m all about the easy recipes! To start, you’ll want to brew an 8 ounce mug of regular coffee. Then, in a small saucepan, heat the milk, International Delight Simply Pure Coffee Creamer in Vanilla, and brown sugar until heated through.
After the milk mixture is warmed, it’s time to froth it! I used an immersion blender to create foam, but a hand-mixer would work just as well, too. Add the foam to the brewed coffee and serve. That’s it! Told you this Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte was simple to make!
With no mystery syrups or high calorie creamers, this Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte is simple, delicious and perfect to enjoy any time of the day!

This latte looks and sounds delicious! Love how simple and easy it is to make! 🙂
Thank you, Jess!
Love this! I’m a coffee addict, and I love that bit of caffeine before my morning workouts, too. I wish we had Pure Barre classes around here…I’ve heard they’re KILLER (in the best way)! 🙂
Caffeine is definitely a necessity for me, too! Thanks, Blair!
Gayle, I’m a barre fanatic. I could talk about it all day, so we’ll have to chat. I religiously barre 4 times a week for over 2 years now! It’s the best workout.
This looks like a good reward for a workout! Love the brown sugar element. So delicious!
Oh good to know, Mir! I don’t know anyone else that’s taken a class, but I have read a lot about it. I’m excited to try the barre class! And thanks for the coffee love!
Once you get into a consistent routine, it’s harder to miss a workout. Just like if I started drinking these regularly, I wouldn’t be able to stop – yum!
Yes! I feel guilty if I miss a workout now. Thanks for the kind words, Megan!
I think I can safely say I have never been on a workout kick in my life. I know. *Hangs head in shame.* But I could definitely get into the after workout refreshments you have going on here!
I don’t love working out, but once I get into a routine, I can’t stop! 🙂 Thanks for the coffee love, Kate!
I LOVE making my own coffee shop-style drinks at home! That way I can make them exactly the way I like ’em. 😉 This latte is seriously screaming my name right now! I’m a huge fan of lots of vanilla flavor in my coffee and I’ll bet it pairs so well with the brown sugar!
Thank you, Sarah! Brown sugar and vanilla make the perfect combo!
You wouldn’t believe how much money and calories that I spend in Starbucks, it is seriously my weakness. I am trying to make more of my own healthier versions at home though, and this is definitely going to get make very soon.
Starbucks is my weakness too…I always order chai lattes! It’s so nice to make your own drinks at home though, saves money and tastes delicious! 🙂
Yay to working out, Gayle! Does make you feel great, right? The only thing that could possibly make my mornings even better are a cup (or 5) of this coffee! Brown sugar and vanilla?? Say no more and hand me a carafe! This coffee looks and sounds delicious, dear – the perfect flavor of wake me up! Pinned! Cheers!
P s. Congrats to your brother! I’m sure you are going to be the prettiest guest at that wedding!
Thank you for the kind words, Cheyanne! I’m excited to go to Arizona, as I’ve never been before! And yes, I’ve had more than one cup of this delicious coffee some mornings…it’s just too good not to! 🙂
I love that there’s nothing artificial in this coffee creamer! I will try this, Gayle! thanks for this post and I’m sure you will look beautiful either way at your brother’s wedding!
Thank you so much for the kind words, Alice! And I think you’ll love this coffee creamer, it’s one of my favorites!
Oh, Gayle this is wonderful! I love that you got your workout routine going. 🙂 It can definitely be hard to start, but once you find a good groove, it becomes the highlight of the day. My sister has been absolutely IN LOVE with barre classes. They’re super tough, but very fulfilling, I hear. Let me know how you enjoy them! You’re gonna look awesome for your brother’s wedding–don’t sweat it, but do… Hehe (Cheesy Humor might be my middle name). Great idea for a morning pick me up. What’s better than brown sugar and coffee in the morning? Love this, Gayle! 🙂
Haha I love your cheesy humor, Demeter! 🙂 It’s definitely nice to finally find my workout grove. And that’s so good to know that your sister loves those barre classes! I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. Thanks for the coffee love, Demeter!
Cheesy humor lovers unite! 😉 Congrats for real on the workout vibes–those can be hard to come by. Barre: I’ve heard they’re super strength-building, but also fairly free of injuries (unlike the high-impact classes). I hope you love it! Keep me posted, Gayle! 🙂
Thank you, Demeter! I will keep you posted on my progress, I hope to start it in the next few weeks! 🙂
YUM! Brown sugar and vanilla? That’s a gorgeous combination! And with today being National Coffee Day – so timely! Good for you for keeping to your workout regime…I am impressed! You’re going to be beautiful and have a beautiful time at your brother’s wedding!
Oh I didn’t know it was National Coffee Day! That means I better drink up! 🙂 Thanks for the kind words, Annie!
This is why you can’t believe everything you read…today is not National Coffee Day – though I think every day should be National Coffee Day – nope, that special day lands in September. It is, however, National Caffeine Awareness Month! Fyooo – I feel better!
I agree with you…everyday should be National Coffee Day, so I’m celebrating it unofficially! 🙂 And yes for caffeine awareness month!
I’ve heard of that workout before, but never knew what it was. That sounds pretty fun, actually.
This latte looks like what I need in the morning! That brown sugar sounds wonderful. And I never even thought to make foam with an immersion blender. Great tip!
Thank you, Amanda! An immersion blender is such an easy way to make foam without an expensive machine!
Oh I hope this stuff comes to Canada! I ALWAYS have my fridge stocked with ID — I would love to give this naturally flavored stuff a try! I wish I could say I’ve been as dedicated with my workouts. I was going strong at 4x per week since January but lately it’s usually only 3… there seems to be a day every now and then I just can’t drag my butt out of bed to work out before the kids get up! Lol
Hopefully it will come soon, Ashley! And I feel you about the workouts, I try to go consistently three times during the week and once on the weekend, but it’s SO hard sometimes!
This Brown Sugar Vanilla Latte is SO cozy!!!! Perfect for these chilly spring mornings. 🙂
Thank you, Jennifer!
This sounds wonderful Gayle! nothing like a steaming cup of latte to get going! love the addition of brown sugar!
Thanks, Manali! I agree, lattes are the best to get me energized in the mornings!
Weddings are always such a big motivation for me to lose some pounds and stay fit! Congrats to your brother ! This latte sounds divine! Love it!
Thank you, friend!
Great job on your workouts! I try to exercise at least 5 times a week and it does get hard to keep up, but it feels so good. I used to take classes similar to Pure Barre at The Dailey Method and those classes were really tough but very effective! I’m considering buying a punch card to mix things up. 🙂
I always have to have coffee before a workout, and I love this latte! Brown sugar is so flavorful and must make this extra delicious with that vanilla creamer. This is a latte that I would love!
Thank you, Marcie! Wow, that’s great that you exercise 5 times a week. It does feel so good and now I feel guilty if I miss a work out, which is good motivation! 🙂 That’s good to hear about the barre class, I’m really excited to try it! Thanks for the coffee love, Marcie!
Love the simplicity to this! It sounds fantastic, and I can’t wait to try it at home!
Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by, Rahul!
Good for you Gayle! I need to start working out too. I want to be in shape when I meet you gals in May. Hehe. That’s my motivation. This latte looks delicious! I love having a nice cup of coffee in the afternoon or evening. I treat it as my sweet treat. 😉
Haha yes to getting in shape for May! 🙂 Thanks for the coffee love, Cyndi!
I love the barre workouts! I was doing them for the longest time (lately I’ve gotten back into yoga .. I should really switch it up!). But anyway … this latte sounds wonderful! You know I love my coffee! 🙂
So glad that you love barre workouts, Ashley! I can’t wait to start! And thanks for the latte love!
Coffee is essential!! Most days it’s the only thing getting me out of bed. This latte sounds like such a treat! Simple and delicious. 🙂
Thanks, Alyssa!
I am crazy about coffee, I need to try this soon.
I think you’ll love this coffee, Puja!
Good for you for sticking to a consistent workout routine! Getting up and having a bit of coffee first really helps me get my motivation up! Making coffee drinks at home is such a great way to save money, and this latte looks delicious!

Yay for keeping up with your workouts, Gayle! Good luck with the barre classes, I’ve heard great things about them too! This looks SO delicious! I could definitely use more caffeine right now. Love the vanilla creamer in here!
Thank you, Kelly! The vanilla creamer is my favorite!
This latte looks so delicious and cozy! I am totally loving it. 🙂
Thanks, Ashlyn!
Gayle, we are on the same wave length. I start the day with a hot cup of (tea) and I’ve been working out! Not for two months, but I’m definitely getting into making it a permanent part of my routine. I really want to try a barre class!! I could definitely get into this latte especially with that creamer.
Isn’t it great to get into a workout routine? I love it! Thanks for the kind words, Jessica!
Oh, I really need to get back into a gym routine! Thanks for the inspiration…and thanks for the delicious latte recipe. I love vanilla + brown sugar, so this one is right up my alley! #client
