Easy Cheesy Baked Tortellini
Pasta is one of my favorite foods, especially when it comes to baked pasta.
There’s just something that so warm and cozy about a pasta coming together in the oven. Comfort food at its finest!
This baked tortellini recipe couldn’t get any easier, or more delicious. Brown the ground beef, add in the sauce, seasonings, and tortellini, and pop it in the oven. The hearty meat sauce makes this a great recipe for the dinner table.
This no boil tortellini bake has little prep time and is ready in less than 40 minutes. After all, I’m all about those easy recipes around here and this delicious meal hits the spot.
Because let’s face it…we all need a quick dinner for busy weeknights. This cheesy baked tortellini recipe combines fresh tortellini and fresh mozzarella cheese for an easy weeknight meal. It’s a simple recipe that’s classic comfort food.
Ingredients in Easy Cheesy Baked Tortellini with Meat Sauce:
- Ground beef
- Dried minced onion
- Minced garlic
- Spaghetti sauce
- Cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen works)
- Dried oregano and thyme
- Salt and pepper
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Grated Parmesan cheese
How to Make Baked Tortellini with Meat Sauce:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 casserole dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, add ground beef, minced onion, and minced garlic and brown and crumble ground beef until no longer pink. Drain, wipe skillet if needed, and return beef to skillet.
- Add sauce (this is my favorite kind), tortellini, oregano, thyme, salt and pepper to skillet. Stir thoroughly to combine. Spread the tortellini mixture evenly into prepared baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Cover dish with foil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and casserole is bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic

- 3 cups (24 ounce jar) marinara sauce , (this is my favorite sauce)
- 1 package (20 ounce) refrigerated cheese tortellini , (frozen also works, see note below)
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, (to taste)
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
