No Bake Snickers Peanut Butter Bars
Snickers bars have always been one of my favorite candy bars.
And I’m not a big candy eater, but Snickers bars will always hold a place in my heart (and kitchen). So it only seemed natural that I create my own homemade snickers bar recipe.
But, with a twist! Peanut butter is added to these homemade bars, along with caramel, peanuts, and chocolate. If you’re a Snickers PB fan, then you’ll adore these peanut butter bars. And really, peanut butter makes everything better!
Did I mention these chocolate peanut butter bars are completely no bake? That’s right! While you will have to melt some of the ingredients on the stove, there is no oven required. And that’s a win in my book!

Ingredients in No Bake Snickers Peanut Butter Bars:
- Peanut butter
- Butter
- Powdered sugar
- Vanilla
- Caramel candies
- Milk
- Peanuts
- Chocolate chips
How to Make Homemade Snickers Bars:
- Lightly grease an 18×13 half-sheet baking pan with cooking spray and then line with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt 4 cups peanut butter and butter, stirring until smooth and well combined. Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla until well combined. Spread peanut butter mixture evenly onto prepared baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the caramels and milk, stirring often until melted and smooth. Add in peanuts and stir to combine. Spread caramel mixture evenly over peanut butter mixture.
- In a microwave safe bowl, heat chocolate chips and 4 Tablespoons peanut butter in 30 second increments, stirring after each, until melted and smooth.
- Pour chocolate mixture over caramel layer and spread evenly. Sprinkle with sea salt, if desired.
- Allow bars to chill in the refrigerator overnight. Let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Keep chilled.
Do I Need to Keep These Chilled?
Yes, these peanut butter chocolate chip bars are best when they are chilled, as they get gooey quickly at room temperature.
Can I Use Another Nut Butter or Chunky Peanut Butter?
Absolutely! Other nut butters may contain more oil resulting in stickier bars. You can compensate by adding some additional powdered sugar to get the consistency you want. Chunky peanut butter should work well, too.
Do I Have to Use Store Bought Caramel or Can I Make My Own?
You can use homemade caramel. You will need about 3 cups of melted caramel.
Can I make these No Bake Peanut Butter Bars ahead of time and freeze it?
To freeze these bars, make sure they are well chilled. Add to a freezer-safe container, adding parchment paper between layers, and freeze for up to 2 months. Alternatively, wrap each bar tightly in plastic wrap before adding to a freezer-safe container. Thaw in the fridge for 2-30 minutes.
Can I make these Peanut Butter Bars in a 9×13 baking dish instead?
This recipe fills up the baking sheet, so if you would like to use a 9×13 dish instead, I would recommend using 2 of them.
What if I don’t have parchment paper?
You could make this without lining the pan with parchment paper, though it may just be a bit more difficult to get the bars out. Spray your pan lightly with cooking spray instead.

I read in your questions that if you don’t have a sheet pan you could use a 9×13 baking dish (which is what I have). You said if you were to do that, you should divide it into two 9×13 baking pans. So, if you only wanted to make 1 9×13 pan (because I am only 1 person) would you just cut the ingredients in half? I did see you mentioned they could be frozen..but not sure I want to make that much for just me.
Hi Andee! Yes, I would recommend cutting this recipe in half if you just want to make one 9×13 pan. The bars may be a bit on the thinner side, but still delicious! Hope you enjoy!
Thank you..these look amazing! 🙂
I hope you enjoy, Andee!
