Garlic Ranch Pretzels
Perfect for game time or anytime, these Garlic Ranch Pretzels are sure to be a snack-time winner. Baked with ranch dressing and hints of garlic, you’ll be making this salty snack over and over again!
Be sure to try these cinnamon sugar pretzels or caramel apple pretzel bites next!
Ranch flavored pretzels are the perfect game-time snack! Store-bought pretzels are coated in a simple seasoning blend before being baked.
For that classic ranch flavor, I seasoned the pretzels with a packet of ranch dressing mix and a little garlic powder. The hint of garlic pairs nicely with the herby ranch and takes these pretzels over the top.
Just to warn you now: these pretzels are addicting! I had to purposely give the hubster a bowl of these and ask him not to share with me, because I have no willpower when it comes to salty snacks.
And this is the ultimate seasoned pretzel recipe for all you salty snackers out there. I love cookies and brownies, but I will take salty over sweet any day!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe:
- SO easy! This recipe requires 5 minutes of hands-on prep, maximum. The pretzels then need just 15 minutes in the oven.
- Minimal ingredients: You need just 4 basic ingredients to make this seasoned pretzel recipe, all of which are easy to find and won’t break the bank.
- Make-ahead friendly: Once baked, the pretzels can be stored airtight for up to 3 weeks. Perfect for keeping on hand during football season!
Ingredients Needed for Ranch Pretzels:
- Pretzels: I used Rold Gold’s tiny twists, but you may use any small pretzel shape you like.
- Olive oil: I prefer the flavor of olive oil, but any neutral-flavored oil will work.
- Ranch dressing mix: Only use the dry ranch seasoning packet for this recipe, not the liquid dressing sold in a bottle.
- Garlic powder: Infuses the ranch seasoned pretzels with garlic flavor.
How to Make Garlic Ranch Pretzels:
- Combine all of the ingredients in a large, zip-top bag.
- Seal the bag and shake well to coat the pretzels in the ranch mixture.
- Spread the pretzels out over two parchment paper-lined baking trays.
- Bake at 300ºF for about 15 minutes. Let cool before serving.
What Type of Pretzel Should I Use?
Use your favorite kind of pretzel. For me, it’s Rold Gold’s tiny twists. I just love the buttery-ness of them! But if you prefer a different brand, pretzel rods, etc., feel free to swap those in.
How to Store These Pretzels
These pretzels seasoned with ranch dressing can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks.
What to Serve with Ranch Pretzels
We love snacking on these pretzels as is, but they’re also great served alongside your favorite dips. Try one of the following:
Tips for Making Seasoned Pretzels:
- You’re welcome to add more or less garlic powder to suit your tastes.
- To make this recipe gluten-free, use your favorite gluten-free pretzel twists and make sure your ranch dressing mix is certified gluten-free.
- Add just 1/4 cup olive oil to the zip-top bag to start with, then add more as needed. You might not need to add the full 1/2 cup called for in the recipe, depending on the size of your pretzels.
- For even tastier flavored pretzels, use homemade ranch seasoning to make this recipe rather than the store-bought kind.

These pretzels are so easy to whip, I think you will love them!
They don’t last three hours. You can add a little cayenne pepper too.
Great suggestion, Marion!

My Dad is a big sports person, too, and I have to say, it has rubbed off on most of us! College basketball is one of my favorites, too. As are pretzels! This is a delicious twist on the classic snack! Pinning!
My dad is a big sports fan too, but it must’ve passed me up somehow! 🙂 Thanks for the pin, Mary Frances!
These might just become my new favorite snack! YUM!
Thanks, Pamela! These pretzels are addicting!
I am so grateful my husband is not into sports AT ALL! Because I would be pulling my hair out if ESPN was on TV all day. These pretzels sound delicious! You know how much I love ranch : )
Luckily my husband is nice and let’s me watch TV too…and the fact that I can go into another room and watch TV helps! 🙂 Thanks, Natalie! A quick and easy snack!
Umm…you had me at RANCH. I love all things ranch, and I happen to love pretzels as well. I am so making these 🙂
Isn’t ranch the best? I sometimes dip my pizza in it, I love it SO much! Hope you enjoy, Katie!

Thanks, Marcie! This take the ordinary pretzel and makes it extraordinary!
My dad was so sad that Montreal was knocked out of the Stanley Cup playoffs! Love pretzels, and these look super yummy!
I know the feeling, Denise! I think my whole family was upset about the Hawks! And thanks for the compliments!
Sounds like my husband. He has to know all the scores for every sport. I’ll go to a game because I like to people watch, but I never watch sports on TV. I’d sure eat a bunch of these pretzels though. Love Ranch flavoring!
Glad you can relate to my sports-loving husband, Christin! I do love to people watch at sporting events, too! And the ranch flavoring gives these pretzels a nice touch!
I’m not sure I could get the ranch powder stuff over here, but I love the idea and I suppose could sub in something else very easily. It’s a great idea to make your own flavoured snacks, Gayle! Perfect timing for Soccer World Cup preparation!
Thanks, Helen! If you don’t have ranch powder, I’m sure you could use garlic powder, oregano, basil, etc. in its place to make seasoned pretzels.
I saw your name and I smiled! I love pumpkin and spice. Next, about this recipe…I love pretzels and I have this thing (okay more of a love or addiction) with ranch dressing mix. We are going to get along fine here, Gayle. 🙂 ♥♥♥
Thanks for the compliments, Kloe! So glad you found my blog! 🙂 Ranch and pretzels are definitely the perfect combination!
I am not a fan of watching sports either – but I could be a fan of these pretzels! Yum!!

Can not wait to get these as pretzels as they van be a bit boring at times and the ranch flavor is a favorite and I think the combo would be amazing. Got all the ingredients and ready to start.
I’m so glad to hear that, Cheryl! I hope you love these pretzels! Thanks for stopping by!
I made these but I added lemon pepper and cayenne pepper for a little extra zing. Absolutely addicting and amazing! Great snack food and easy to make.
I’m so glad you liked these! Such a great idea to add lemon pepper and cayenne pepper. I’ll have to try that next time! Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me know how they turned out!
I have these pretzels in the oven right now but had some trouble with the dry ingredients clumping and not coating the pretzels well. Any suggestions? Would love to be able to make these for the college Bowl games. Thanks for the recipe!
Hi Lada! Sorry to hear about the clumping! I haven’t had that problem before. Maybe try adding the olive oil first, sealing the bag and coating the pretzels with it, and then add the seasonings, seal, and shake to coat. You could also use a little less oil, too. Hope that helps and hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by!
No oven degree
