Wondering what to make with pizza dough? Here’s your answer! Let’s go over how the ham roll ups are made:
-
Unroll the pizza dough onto a flat surface and lightly press down into a rectangle.
-
Top the dough with the deli ham slices, placing them in an even layer across dough.
-
Repeat with the slices of Swiss cheese, placing them on top of the ham.
-
Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a tight log, pinching the ends together.
-
Slice the dough log into 12 pieces and place onto prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake until the crust is golden. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before eating.
Can This Recipe Be Made in Advance?
Yes! The roll ups can be baked and served warm or at room temperature, making them a great make-ahead option for a party appetizer or your weekday lunches.

These look super tasty, Gayle! And I’m always late to the party on reading books or watching shows. There’s just too much out there. I did love reading Gone Girl, and the movie’s been on my list for a a while!
Thanks, Mir!
I have a feeling I would be a very popular person, come Sunday if I were to make these roll-ups for the big game! I’m seriously ALL over how super-easy and amazing they look!
Thank you, Sarah!
Still loving these 30 minute thursdays!! These roll ups look seriously delish, Gayle! Love how easy peasy and cheesy they are! Perfect for super bowl.. or dinner. 😉 pinned!
P.s. I haven’t read “girl on a train”, but I’ll have to check it out… in book form, because I don’t have a fancy kindle. 🙁
Thanks, Cheyanne! I love how easy these are too…you just can’t beat three ingredients! And I think you would love “Girl on a Train” it’s so good!
Totally agree — the instant gratification of a Kindle purchase is hard to beat!
These 3-ingredient roll-ups sound like the perfect easy dinner for my family, too. I’ll be trying them soon!
Yes! I seriously thought I would never get a kindle, but now I love it! Thanks, Blair!

Gayle, I LOVE these!!!! I just made pizza roll-ups the other day! I’m all about quick and easy with ready made pizza dough .. LOVE these!!!!
Thanks, Alice! Those pizza roll-ups sound good, too! You just can’t beat pre-made dough! 🙂
Okay, so I am definitely one of those people who will never read a book on a screen. Lol. I have an iPad and I love it for cooking and surfing and travelling and such but I refuse to read on it. Maybe partly because it’s hard on the eyes (and I’ve always had bad eyes!), and partly because it’s just not the same! These roll ups are totally our kind of meal — my kids would go nuts for these!
I thought I would never read a book on screen either, until I tried my kindle. Now I’m hooked! Mainly because I’ve been reading like crazy and love having a new book instantly at my fingertips. But…I still do love regular books, too. Thanks for the roll-up love!
These look so delicious Gayle! Love ham and cheese. Can’t wait to try these!
Thanks, Mira!
I’ve tried reading on a kindle and for whatever reason I love holding a book a little more — I guess I’m old fashioned! I haven’t read Girl on a Train so I’m going to look that up, and Gone Girl was good except for the ending! The movie was very good but sadly didn’t end differently. 🙂
These roll-ups look SO good, and my boys would especially love these! They’re so fun and you can never go wrong with ham and cheese!
I’m really surprised at how much I enjoy my kindle…I thought I would use it for everything BUT reading haha! I think you would like Girl on a Train, it’s sort of similar to Gone Girl. Thanks for the kind words, Marcie!
I’ve always liked reading real books too, and am not really a fan of e-books. But there IS something to be said for the convenience of them. When we went away at Christmas I was pretty happy to be able to download library books on my iPad so that I didn’t have to pack a bunch of books! I haven’t read Girl on a Train so I’ll have to read that! These roll-ups look fantastic, I love a quick and easy meal!
Yes I do really love the convenience of ebooks…I thought I would never be a convert haha! 🙂 Thanks for the kind words, Stacey!
So, I’m not sure what happened but I think the computer gobbled up my first comment! I have a friend who makes something very similar to these roll-ups and I love them! And the books I’m getting into as of late belong to Liane Moriarty. Are you familiar with her books? I’ve read Big Little Lies and The Husband’s Secret so far… and I highly recommend her work! Her stories grip you from page 1!
Roll-ups are the best! And yes, I’m actually in the middle of The Husband’s Secret! I love it so far, so I want to check our her other books too. Thanks for the kind words, Annie!
Three cheers for three ingredient recipes!! I could devour a few of these, no problem. Ham & cheese stuff is my fave!
Thanks, Rachel!
I love 30 min thursday and these rolls are reminding of ham & cheese sandwiches!!! OMG I just had lunch and I am hungry again!
Thanks, Ami! This is definitely a fun way to eat ham and cheese! 🙂
These look SO good, Gayle! I could probably polish off the whole batch 😉
Thanks!
quick and easy, perfect dinner idea for busy weekdays!
Definitely, Manali! 🙂
Ham and cheese is just suchhh a good combo! And how awesomely simply are these?? I love! And they would be so fun for a party too!
Thanks, Ashley! They would definitely be the hit of any party! 🙂
So…I’ve been stubborn and haven’t gotten a kindle yet. My mom is always wanting to buy me one, but I’m like “no I want real books!”. But maybe I should re-consider. I would probably read way more if I had one. These roll-ups need to roll straight into my kitchen. I want them for dinner tonight!
I’m thinking you would probably get sucked into a kindle like I did haha! It’s just SO nice to be able to have books and magazines right at your fingertips. I love it! 🙂 Thanks for the ham and cheese love, Liz!
OMG! I loved Girl on the Train! I couldn’t put it down. On my Kindle of course : ) I have the perfect next book for you, Pretty Girls! But be warned it is creeeeeeepy! But super good. You’ll love it if you loved Girl on the Train. Love this ham and cheese roll ups!
Oh I’m totally reading Pretty Girls next! I’m in the middle of Her Husband’s Secret right now. Have you read that one? So good! 🙂
I don’t know what I would do without my Kindle! It makes reading so convenient, especially when traveling (not that I do too much of that!).
These roll ups look so easy, and my kids would LOVE them!
I love how convenient my kindle is! Thanks for the kind words, Kristine!
Give me bread and cheese and I am happy!
I bought Girl on a Train a few months ago, but I haven’t had time to read it yet. I might start reading it tonight actually 🙂
I think you’ll love that book, Dannii! 🙂
Love that there are only 3 ingredients involved! Perfect for busy weeknights!
Thanks, Jessica!
These look so good! Such fun party food, too!
Thanks, Kelly!
I’m still old school and prefer the book in my hands. I haven’t even thought about getting a Kindle, but you make it sound so tempting! Speaking of tempting, these ham and cheese rollups look perfect for an easy dinner idea and also a fun game day food!
I thought I would use my kindle for everything BUT reading, but it’s just the opposite. It makes me want to read even more since I can download a new book instantly! 🙂 Thanks for the kind words, Rachelle!
I couldn’t live without my kindle! I never thought I’d want one, but then I caved a few years ago and got one and I’m totally hooked. I still read actual books that friends/family let me borrow, but there is nothing better than just downloading a book when you’re ready for a new one! Have you read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy? They were big a few years ago, but I still think about them haha I loved them so much! The Girl on the Train is on my list to read next! These ham and cheese roll-ups look awesome! 🙂
I totally agree! I love having books and magazines right at my fingertips! I haven’t read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, so I will have to check that out! Thanks, Keri! 🙂
Gayle, I love these! Throw a small salad on the side and you have a perfect meal! I live for these type of recipes. 😉 PS so happy you love your kindle. I have one to and am obsessed with it. In fact I was up until 3am last night (shh don’t tell the hubby) reading. 🙂 Pinning!
Reading on my kindle is so addicting! I could totally stay up until 3 in the morning too! 🙂 Thanks, Cyndi!
Ooooh Girl on the Train was a good one! I loved “The Good Girl”… it’s the same type of genre, but I thought it was even better! Definitely check it out. These rolls look so yummy. I might have to make these for super bowl Sunday… I can only eat deli meat if it’s cooked (while preggo) and I’ve seriously been missing my ham and turkey sandwiches!! These look like they might kick that craving!
I will have to check out The Good Girl! Aww I bet you can’t wait until you can eat deli meat again! Thanks for the kind words, Jess!
What’s not to love about a 3 ingredient recipe? These roll ups look amazing!
Yes! Thanks, Christin!
OK, how cute are these? so cute!! And my current favorite book is DUMPLIN by Julie Murphy – such a good read.
Thanks, Kate! And I will have to check out that book! 🙂
Yay for getting a kindle, Gayle! My favorite is still reading an old school book but I do love the convenience of ebooks! These roll-ups are so adorable and fun! And only 3 ingredients? Sign me up!
Thanks for the kind words, Kelly!
I love that oozy cheese coming out! And I also love that you can customize them however you like! I got a kindle a few years ago and I don’t use it nearly as much as I should!
The oozy cheese is my favorite! Thanks, Izzy!
Yum! These look delicious, love how easy they are to make!
Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by, Katie!
Good food
Thank you, Mary!
These look good and very economical too. Will have to try it out. I have a Kindle on my laptop and on my smartphone but I am way behind on reading the books on it I still read books from the library. I just finished reading A Bitter Truth by Charles Todd. It was excellent! I was completely taken aback when I found out who the real killer was.
Thanks, Laura!
